These lovely people gave up their Saturday for our very first workshop experiment.  We asked for 8 volunteers to help develop our  prototype workshop,  hoping to iron out the bigger creases of what will become a monthly event at the cloth shop.

For 3 hours these good people worked on their Lazy Kate table settings  after a rambling and off the cuff  intro from Julie

Thank you to our furry friends of cloth. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

During the holidays we were playing around with our favourite designs printing them up in new colours on new basecloths. They all looked so good we couldn’t stop and now we have a whole bundle of these one off fabric pieces left over that are perfect for making curtains, a blind or an upholstery project. We are selling them at close to half price.

a make it kit and other stuff you might need for your project

make it yourself with our packs of hand dyed and printed remnants, they are full of delicious colour, texture and other fun stuff.

a fabric pack provides you with enough fabric to make yourself a cushion, a cover for a lampshade, a bag or pretty much anything you want!

if thats not enough we even have instructions available to show you how, as well as all the bits you need to complete your project. we have half made cushions in 2 sizes, small square and small oblong, with zips already inserted (all you’ll need to do is sew up the side seams!)

and plain lampshades in 3 sizes for you to decorate with lampshade wraps.

these packs are so easy on the eye we have lined the shop with them!

we think with their robust textures and quirky shapes they make a great compliment to the cloth range.

from  have you met miss jones, the pots are hand made by artisans from a workshop based in pampanga, near manila in the Philippines, a thriving centre for cottage industry. the red clay is dug from the surrounding area. each piece is formed, designed, decorated and glazed by hand.

jennifer, who heads have you met miss jones, is proud to be supporting her roots, she has known many of the artisans she now works with since childhood. Her parents have had a homewares company for the past 30 years based in manila, exporting items from the philippines to the uk and europe. over many dinners and sunday lunches a plan was hatched to launch their homewares into the australian market. and jennifer was just the girl to do it! …and we’re so glad she did.
