Stitches & Craft Show

With an ever growing interest in DIY (do it yourself) we thought we would set up camp at the Stitches and Craft Show - the oldest fair in Australia...

 

We decked our stand out with out fabrics and overdyed off cuts, our products, buttons, lampshades, half made cushions and Kristen set up the sewing machine at one end of the stand and began making things...

 

 

She drew a bit of a crowd and Julie decided it would be a good idea to do some impromtu workshops to show people how we approach making things the cloth way.

 

These workshops were a big success. People sat, listened, participated, gave tips and we all learnt heaps. Thank you to the lady from Bernina who saw us with our old and worn out machine and lent us one for the show.

We now have a whole new cloth audience and know that people want us to show them how....So as a result we will be developing regular workshops at the shop. And Bernina will be supplying machines so we can all work on projects together.

we will be running make it with cloth workshops showing you how we make the things you love!
